Running in the Rain - A Brief Reflection

Today, I ran in the rain.

To be more specific, I ran in the rain at the Newport News Park in Virginia. In preparation for training runs, I normally check the weather app on my phone. But, I did not have to do so today because it was already overcast and raining. I decided to try and squeeze in my scheduled 30 minute session during a break in the downpour. But, while driving the short 7 minute trip to the park, the rain began to fall again. Backing into the parking lot, I had a decision to make. Go home or get to running.

After a deep breath and with a resolute mine, I chose to run in the rain.
